How to enable setup fees for monthly payments?

PradeepC

Question

Hello Team,

I am looking to sell dedicated servers and would like to know how can I show setup fees for monthly payments for the dedicated servers and give free setup for yearly payments.

I have already set up the fees as Product Options, but I am unable to hide it for yearly payments.

Please do suggest a way to do this, as this is very important.

Hi

You should be able to hide this for yearly payments just by not setting a yearly price. What I would do is

- Make a product option category of 'setup fee' and make that a required category

- Create a setup fee product under it, with different prices for monthly and yearly

To enable setup fees for monthly payments on Upmind, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Products > Product Options.
  2. Click on the product option that you want to add a setup fee to.
  3. In the Setup Fee field, enter the amount of the setup fee.
  4. Select the Monthly option from the Payment Period dropdown menu.
  5. Click on Save.

To hide the setup fee for yearly payments, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Products > Product Options.
  2. Click on the product option that you want to hide the setup fee for.
  3. Uncheck the Show for Yearly Payments checkbox.
  4. Click on Save.

Here is an example of how you would set up a setup fee for monthly payments and hide it for yearly payments:

  • Product: Dedicated Server
  • Product Option: Setup Fee
  • Amount: $100
  • Payment Period: Monthly
  • Show for Yearly Payments: No

Once you have set up the setup fee, it will be applied to all monthly payments for the dedicated server. The setup fee will not be applied to any yearly payments.
