  1. Regarding the custom invoices.

What I currently do is to have 1 service that I rename and change prices whenever I need to create a new custom invoice.

The issue with this approach is that when I rename the service to use it in another invoice, the name in the Products & Services list changes to the new name and it gets confusing.  Although the invoice itself retains the name, it would be great if the product's list could also.

  2. First of all, I'd like to say that the exchange rate management system you launched is just great. I don't see any other platform managing it like this and it works just perfectly with my currency, which is very specific and many platforms don't support very well.

On the other hand I wanted to ask you for an update on two features (I know you don't give ETAs but I just wanted to know if they're to be expected anytime soon) :

    • Translation of the provisioning system (domains, and all)
    • Ability to create one off custom text and amount invoices.

    Thanks

  3. This is the billing tab for a specific product. It says at the bottom "Inherit from brand default: Omit product"

Where would the defaults for this multi currency options be? I can't find it anywhere in the settings.

My goal is to set the brand to "Make available (convert prices)" so every newly created product can inherit from that.

  4. Yes, I can do that. But what I'm looking for is for a way to credit an already existing invoice in order to make that particular invoice free, but for the service to be provisioned anyways.

Currently credit notes work by cancelling that invoice and service.

What I currently do is to make a fake payment of the invoice simulating a credit (for example using a cash or offline payment gateway).

This is more a feature request I think. @Seb do you think it could be possible?

    Hello,

I'm trying to integrate Stripe as the main method of payment during checkout. API connection is great. However, at checkout (client side) when Stripe is selected, card information fields populate for a second and then disappears which prevents moving to the next step. I'm wondering if this is on my end (misconfiguration of web hosting package being ordered or the payment). Tried different browsers and still the same. Thank you.

I'm using Stripe with StripeJS enabled and it's working for me.

ability to use DNS and nameservers from the domain registrar would be great. We have clients that have either never had, or have cancelled hosting services - but keep their domain names with us. Scenario include buying domain from us but configuring their DNS for office 365 / gmail, SPF etc and we wouldnt want to have a cpanel account just for dns. Resellerclub would be our number preference.

    +1

As I see it, if clients order only a domain, the nameservers should default to the registrar's DNS. But if they also order hosting, they should default to the hosting server's DNS.

Right now there's no way to set different nameservers for each registrar or hosting provisioning configuration, there's only one setting for all.

  7. I don't know about the mass import by file, but you can add existing services one by one and set the next renewal date manually.

The option is: "Add quick order".

I don't think you can set the start date to a previous date though.

Awesome! is it for Google API Reseller account, right?

About Google integration, Workspace would be a great solution. Also an integration for Rackspace Email Reseller.

    +1 or workspace.

Didn't google domains sell to squarespace?

  9. Most providers, specially domain name registrars, notify their upcoming price updates a few months in advance (for example domain name price increases).

Taking that into consideration, it would be nice to have a price update scheduler. So we can set new prices for those products in advance but starting on a specific date.

    Thanks.

Yes I checked that too and same. Although the admin invoices will have many! Have you figured out how to download the invoices or export data? I want to import them to a local accountancy package rather than online at the moment

You can export invoices here in CSV format: admin/insights/reports/all_invoices

Although I haven't done it yet.

There are a few reports there.

Apparently Upmind's internal workflow need to register every transaction with invoices to maintain the accounting part. So that's why  there are many 0 invoices.

You also get them when you update/downgrade plans, pricing and so on.

There's an option in the settings to hide 0 invoices from clients. That doesn't avoid them to be sent via email, but they won't appear in the client's portal.

I was reviewing email logs and it seems client's don't get 0 invoices notifications on email.

    For me, that works.

thanks for that. I did try it and it worked fine. However it did marke £59 invoice (down to £0 ) as paid which seems odd. I wouldnt have expected any invoice until the next due date (manually set to one month from now)

Thank you for this information. I completed this step, but it did produce an invoice for the amount, and then said it was paid in full with a zero balance and sent it to my client, then a renewal date for what I wanted and a new invoice will be sent out.  I will have to work with this a little more and see how I can get it to not make it look like they paid the first invoice.

At least I have things moving. I'll have to see best ways to do this before putting in the rest of my clients.

What I usually do to avoid an invoice to be sent while I do the migration is to disable all email notifications for that specific client and re-enable it when I'm done.

That way even if a 0 invoice is generated, it will not notify them.

  14. Hi.

Currently when you have an invoice for a new service or a service upgrade and apply a credit note to that invoice, the service creation/upgrade is reverted or cancelled.

But there are some cases where we may decide to discount that invoice 100% (after said invoice is created) but applying a credit note would cancel the service. In these cases I usually make a fake payment (for example selecting the cash option), but I feel this does not quite correlate to the real operation.

Is there a way we can apply a credit note to the invoice, but instead of this serving as a cancelation operation with optional refund, would function as a payment with 100% discount?

    Thanks.

    Hi Guys,

I have my dashboard with a custom subdomain (dashboard.mydomain.com) and I have changed the server where I have hosted my domains, by making this change my IP address of my server has changed and now I can not access the admin of upmind with my custom subdomain (dashboard.mydomain.com).

I understand that it is due to the change of IP of my subdomain, the problem is that I can not access the upmind panel to change the ip of the old server for the new one.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Manuel

If you have recollection your Upmind domain, you can access the panel using that. For example zeirtu34493.upmind.com. Each account has one.

About the other thing, I don't see Upmind taking custom IP addresses. You should add Upmind's IPs to your DNS server as A records.

    https://docs.upmind.com/docs/how-to-add-a-unique-domain-name

Maybe this is the part you need to fix.

    Regards.

We tie all invoices to products for reporting, but you can just create a product 'misc' for example and use that - you can of course override the price when adding an order

So you could create a one-time product called 'custom work' and invoice for that for instance

We are going to be doing a 'quick invoice' function which will work how you imagine - but behind the scenes will create a new product.

    Hi @Seb, team.

Do you have any news about this? Is this still in the roadmap?

Creating a misc product is not ideal since it lacks custom description of the job.

The mentioned quick invoice feature would be great though.

  17. Currently clients have to create an address on registration, but in my country, in order to create an invoice you need the tax id (mandatory).

Would you consider a setting where you force clients to create a business type address, which already includes the tax id field?

Right now I'm using custom customer fields, but's is not very straightforward and the tax-id mechanism already exists.

    Thanks
