gavin
Hi, It is necessary to have the product HSN/ service SAC code on the invoice for it to be considered a valid invoice for Indian GST. Edited April 2, 2023 by gavin
gavin
Three things are missing from the invoices. Please check the attached image. Indian users, if registered under GST, are at risk of being penalized by the authority sooner or later once they see the generated invoice.
gavin
@SebIs there any option available right now to disable invoicing from Upmind? I will rely on the 3rd party invoicing till the invoice generated by Upmind is compliant with the above.
Viswanath VB
I think we can add these things to invoice by editing invoice and with Client custom fields. But it's will be great if have upmind have these features by default. Example option to upload signature. Option to enter tax number etc by default. https://docs.upmind.com/docs/how-to-add-client-custom-fields https://docs.upmind.com/docs/how-to-edit-an-invoice-pdf-template
Adrien
Honestly trying to comply with Indian tax regulations is impossible. You need to find a way. I don't think Upmind should adjust to each and every country but instead use custom fields for specific cases. @Viswanath VB solution seems a good one.

Seb ran a hosting company, and India was one of their big markets. Anyways, my concerns will be addressed with the upcoming feature below. Seb
I think these SAC codes is a feature that we need to add- I think this' description' field is what will be needed to show on the invoice An issue is created 🙂
PradeepC
When building a SaaS product, each and every country will have different tax regulations and the company that develops the SaaS will have to build it to cater to that country. Plus, India is a very big market and the makers must already know this. 2
